MISSION STATEMENT
Weathervane Music Organization collaborates with emerging and established independent musicians, record producers, filmmakers and video-makers from around the world to produce and promote a wide range of sophisticated contemporary music and video productions. Through this, we hope:
- To celebrate, support and advance independent music and the artists that make the music.
- To create key career opportunities and resources for these musicians.
- To strengthen society’s understanding, appreciation, and desire to seek out and support sophisticated music.
- To establish the Philadelphia region as a destination for music production, and shine a positive light on this great city and the independent music community here.
- To raise awareness and promote activism for the protection and advancement of artists' rights and their ability to profit from their music.
- To bring about quality, meaningful, shared experiences in music and art for our community of supporters.
