Weathervane Music is a non-profit that exists to better society by creating community, opportunity and resources that support and advance the careers of working independent musicians.

Today, there is a profound need to actively support the music we love.  The music industry can only invest in established artists. The rest have no choice but to pay their own way. We believe society must invest in new artists or we will see shorter and less sustainable careers for all musicians.

Our flagship program is a web-based music and video series called Shaking Through which features emerging independent artists in the recording studio. Produced by Weathervane Music and WXPN, Shaking Through gives the audience an exciting and intimate window into the recording process, while giving the artists powerful opportunities to advance their careers.
